The cottages are set on the edge of the large sunny vineyard of Quinta das Vinhas, with views to the sea beyond.

There are 14 cottages dotted around the swimming pool, sleeping 2 adults and up to children. Each cottage has a bedroom, sitting room, kitchenette, full bathroom, and terrace.  Some of the cottages have the bedroom open as a “mezzanine” onto the sitting room, others have a bedroom completely separate from the sitting room.

In Quintas das Vinhas there is also a larger house with garden and sea view (T3). On the ground floor are the living room, kitchen and a suite with bathroom. In the first floor you find two double bedrooms and a bathroom.

There is a footpath through the vines that connects the Main House of Quinta das Vinhas with the cottages. For the customers, that do not want to cook, they can take breakfast and dinner in the Main House

Quinta das Vinhas is on the Eastern side of Madeira, the part least affected by development, with easy access due to the construction of new roads. By car it is about 60 minutes to the airport, 40 minutes to Funchal and about 5 minutes from the coastal villages of Calheta and Jardim do Mar.

Quinta das Vinhas is very well situated on the South east coast of Madeira Island. This is both the sunniest and less developped side of the island. For nature lovers and walkers, we are within easy reach of the high plateau of Paúl da Serra, the waterfall of Rabaçal, the anicent trees in the Fanal which are the last remnants of the indigenous flora. For surfers we are minutes away by car from Jardim do Mar and Paúl do Mar.
There are also good mountainbiking trails in Fonte do Bispo, not to mention all the walking possibilities.

Quinta das vinhas is also only 5 minutes by car from the golden beach at Calheta. Calheta also boasts a fabulous arts complex, Casa das Mudas, which is architecturally stunning to see, even if there are no exhibitions at the time.
